14-Day Return Policy

We offer a 14-day return policy for eligible artworks. You have 14 calendar days after receiving your order to notify us that you wish to return it.

All returns are subject to the conditions outlined below. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.

Artwork Condition and Protection

Returned artwork is expected to be in exactly the same condition as when received.

Fine art prints and original paintings are delicate and valuable works of art that require careful handling.

Returned artwork should be free from any new scratches, dents, creases, folds, stains, surface marks, or other damage to the artwork, paper, canvas, or frame.

Even a minor scratch, crease, or surface defect may significantly reduce the value of a fine art print or make it unsuitable for resale.

Customers may inspect artwork as they would in a physical gallery or store but should avoid handling it beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and condition.

If returned artwork shows damage or signs of excessive handling, we reserve the right to claim compensation for any demonstrable loss in value, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Where damage makes an artwork unsuitable for resale, the loss in value may be substantial. Any compensation claimed will be based on the actual, documented loss in value rather than an automatic deduction.

For voluntary returns not governed by statutory withdrawal rights, we may refuse a return if the artwork is not received in its original condition.

How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact us at shop@ainvaresart.com within 14 days of receiving your order.

Please include your order number and identify the artwork you wish to return.

We will provide return instructions and confirm the appropriate return address.

Returns under our voluntary return policy require prior authorization. However, exercising a statutory right of withdrawal does not require our prior approval.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, the artwork must be sent back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your decision to withdraw.

Return Shipping, Packaging and Insurance

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying the direct cost of return shipping for change-of-mind returns, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

All artwork must be securely packaged to prevent damage during return transport.

We strongly recommend retaining and reusing the original protective packaging. If the original packaging is unavailable, equivalent protective packaging must be used to provide adequate protection.

Special attention must be given to protecting printed surfaces, paper edges, canvas corners, and frames.

We strongly recommend using a reputable, trackable shipping service with insurance appropriate to the artwork's value.

For voluntary returns not governed by statutory withdrawal rights, we may require tracked and appropriately insured return shipping as a condition of accepting the return, where permitted by law.

Please retain your proof of dispatch, tracking number, and shipping documentation until your return has been completed.

Customers may be held responsible for damage or loss resulting from inadequate packaging, improper handling, or other circumstances for which they are legally responsible.

Responsibility for accidental loss or damage during return transport is determined by applicable law and the circumstances of the shipment. Providing proof of dispatch is particularly important if a returned parcel is lost in transit.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order promptly upon delivery.

If your artwork arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us at shop@ainvaresart.com as soon as possible.

Please provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where available.

We will assess the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

Where required by law, we will cover the necessary costs of resolving the issue, including return shipping.

Your statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming goods are not limited by this policy.

Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain products where a legal exception exists, including:

• Custom-made or personalised artworks created according to the customer's individual specifications, such as commissioned portraits or specially requested artworks.

• Digital downloads, once delivery has begun, provided that the customer has given prior express consent to immediate delivery, acknowledged the resulting loss of the right of withdrawal, and received the confirmation required by law.

The digital-content exception applies only where all relevant legal requirements have been fulfilled.

Standard original paintings and fine art prints, including prints produced after ordering in the standard sizes and frame options offered in our online store, remain eligible for statutory withdrawal where applicable.

Discounted or sale items are also eligible for return where required by law.

Exchanges

If you would like a different artwork, size, or frame option, you may return an eligible item in accordance with our return policy and place a new order separately.

We do not process direct exchanges.

This does not affect your statutory rights to repair, replacement, or other remedies for defective or non-conforming goods.

European Union – 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

Consumers protected by EU consumer law generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

For orders delivered in multiple shipments, the withdrawal period generally begins when the last item is received.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must communicate a clear statement of your decision to withdraw by emailing shop@ainvaresart.com. You may also use an electronic withdrawal function made available on our website.

You may use the optional withdrawal form provided below, but it is not mandatory.

After notifying us, you must dispatch the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after communicating your decision to withdraw.

Artwork must be handled only as necessary to inspect it, as would normally be permitted in a physical store.

You are responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods, as provided by law.

You are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping, provided this was disclosed before purchase, unless otherwise required by law.

For large or oversized artworks that cannot normally be returned by post, return shipping costs may be substantial. Any legally required estimate of such costs must be provided before purchase.

Refunds

For withdrawals governed by EU consumer law, we will reimburse the payments required by law, including, where applicable, the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered for the original order.

Additional charges resulting from the selection of a more expensive delivery method are not refundable.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice.

We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence of having sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Any claim for diminished value resulting from excessive handling or damage will be assessed and documented in accordance with applicable law.

For voluntary returns not governed by statutory withdrawal rights, original shipping costs are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. Approved refunds will be processed after the returned artwork has been received and inspected.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to make the refund visible in your account.
